In 2022, I began a new chapter of life, inextricably bound to previous chapters and always unraveling subsequent ones. My present self is increasingly encapsulated by “professionalism” and my professional presentation gives you the latest. Of course, I am still my whole self, and I am working to understand how to live my whole self in any setting and milieu.
My path to now has been winding. In 2019, I consciously uncoupled from corporate America and took time to release, reset, relearn, and re-energize. While the world faced a collective trauma, I had the honor of falling into (and creating) an opportunity to contribute to the formation of a more humane community, built on a foundation of mutual aid, and informed by some principles of deep personal importance. I then embarked on my next chapter, with a roughly-defined mission.
We live in a supremely cruel world. But I refuse to succumb to despair and hopelessness. I hope that my travels on my journey ahead may introduce into our existence greater kindness, peace, safety, and freedom for all. My future steps are always TBD, but I know I must follow my values.
